Strava sync

It would be awesome to be able to sync workouts to Strava or other training platforms. These usually use .fit files, so even an "export to .fit" option would be awesome! I don't know how similar this would be to implement to the "export to csv" request in another thread... So I created a separate post here.
Thanks for an awesome app!

I have less interest in Strava lately and do track more in Suunto App and since recently in TrainingPeaks. So if exporting a fit file can be done too, that would be awesome!

Matin, Jack, Aleksandr, Steve, Gerhard, pedro, Silvano, Seth, Rainer, Emilia, we're getting closer have an auto-sync to Strava. It turned out that Strava has limited number of activity types. There is no breathwork or mindfullness (which are usually used for apnea in such sport apps), the closest that I found are Yoga and a generic Workout. Any preferences of what to set for STAmina activities?

Valeriy Kovalenko Thanks. I would like to suggest Swimming (at least that's the category I record my freediving on Strava) or generic workout.

Thank you for your information. I think for me its the best when you can safe it as a yoga excercise.
Thx

Valeriy Kovalenko we probably all have slightly different preferences on this. I can live with any of them! And, one can always easily change the activity category when naming the activity or through editing later.
One thought we should maybe consider is that users may also do real Yoga and real Swimming and any mix with our apnea activities may screw up activity type statistics, e.g. average swimming speed, etc. If this thought is valid, we may just want to go for the most generic "Workout"?

Valeriy Kovalenko I am okay either way or just generic workout

Valeriy Kovalenko generic is my preference. I am also submitting a request to strava to include breathwork

Matin Goerg Valeriy Kovalenko this would be my preference too! I don't want STA messing with my swimming workouts 😊

Steve Broyles Great idea! Maybe we should all put in a request for a breathwork category!

Emilia Tjernstrom Steve Broyles Agree and happy to support on the Strava feedback site, but don't have much hope. Strava has announced that they will not add new activity categories anymore. This even though they don't even have a category for Diving (SCUBA or Freediving) but do already have a long list of seldomly used categories. In my experience they are not very receptive to feedback.

Steve Broyles can you share your link pls, so that we can support

Yes, can only give this a double thumbs up!
I track all my activities on Garmin Connect and Strava (Garmin pushing my data to Strava) and am presently manually creating STAmina activities, to complete my log.
Additionally, isn't there the saying: "If it is not on Strava, it did not happen!" ?🤣🤣

Just got here searching for info on the same issue. It would be greatfor sure. I guess it should be a must now a days, right?

I completely agree! I would love to link my STAmina workouts to Strava and Garmin Connect. According to borh platforms, you can upload the following file types as long as the file is 25MB or smaller and contains workout data:
.GPX, .TCX, .FIT
I am noticing that many of the latest Forerunner and Fenix watches have "Breathwork" as an Activity Category.
It would be great to have a simple way to upload my STAmina workouts to all my other fitness activities.
Thanks!
